Exploration Center in Santa Cruz
Tail of the Whale (TOW) Donor Appreciation Campaign

The 10,600-square-foot Exploration Center features a variety of interactive, bilingual educational exhibits; a state-of-the-art classroom; views of the ocean; a small theater; and a gift shop. The Exploration Center’s classroom, is equipped with seawater tanks and offers standards-based, educational programs for K-12 students.

The Exploration Center has a prime location next to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and admission is free, thus attracting a diverse audience.

The Exploration Center opened in July 2012.

All levels of contributions to the Exploration Center are welcome. In this phase of our campaign, donations will be accepted until July 23, 2013, the first anniversary of the Exploration Center’s opening.

$500 Donation - TOW Dedication

In appreciation of your support of a $500 donation, we will engrave your name and/or organization’s name on a 3” x 6” granite tile that will be installed on a bench in front of the Sanctuary Exploration Center in the Whale Tail Courtyard (see the diagram below). All tiles will be installed at the Exploration Center in August of 2013 following the completion of the campaign. Your tax-deductible donation to the Tail of the Whale Campaign will go directly towards the maintenance of exhibits at the Exploration Center.

Donations to this exciting project can be made online using a credit card or a PayPal account. The credit card transaction will be securely handled by PayPal and you do not need a PayPal account to make a credit card donation. At the end of the credit card transaction you will be presented with an option to print out a receipt for your donation.

Your tax-deductible donation to the Tail of the Whale Campaign will go directly towards the maintenance of exhibits at the Exploration Center.

If you would like a name other than the name that appears on your credit card (or anonymous) to be showcased on the donor's page of this website, please click on the "Donor name, dedication, anonymous" link in the final payment screen of paypal and fill in your dedication. All donors will be recognized on this website.
