The Marine Protected Area (MPA) Education and Outreach Initiative is developing support materials for educators, docents and interested individuals along the Central Coast of California. This Initiative is designed to complement the work of the California Department of Fish & Game MPA plans and programs in the areas of education and outreach through a collaboration of multiple agencies, organizations and individuals. The products and materials developed for this Initiative will act as a model or template for the other Marine Life Protection Act Study Areas. Over the course of the last year the Initiative has been engaged in multiple activities for product development. These products and materials are described in more detail below.
